Who am I?
This question always takes center stage in my mind. It serves as the initial point of inquiry into various aspects. As a woman, what is my role in life? As someone born and raised in diverse cultures, what defines me? What influence do I have, as a woman? And I can go on.
It's crucial for me to emotionally connect with what I document. Hence, I always embark on my quest for answers from within. Often, the answers aren't immediate, and the narrative I pursue unfolds across multiple series. I always try to progressively delve deeper to unearth the truth. I envision it as a collage, a mosaic of perspectives that collectively form a compelling story, a visual language. Eventually, the message naturally reveals itself.
I'm someone who observes, feels, smells, hears, and gracefully navigates through images to figure out the essence of what needs to be expressed.
